What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of the Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Aquaculture programme is to produce work-ready graduates with the personal attributes, advanced specialised knowledge and practical skills necessary to make an immediate and innovative contribution to sustainable aquaculture development whether locally, nationally or internationally.
Key Information for Students
Academic requirements for all applicants, a degree in any science discipline from an accredited NZ tertiary institution OR a degree from an overseas tertiary institution deemed by the Academic Committee to be of equivalent standing. If English is not the applicant's first language they must provide evidence of an IELTS overall academic score of 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each band, issued in the last two years OR equivalent. Additional entry requirements for all applicants include an interview and two confidential references. Online learners must be able to provide evidence of appropriate digital literacy and be employed, or recently employed, in a suitable aquaculture industry workplace and be able to attend compulsory residential workshops. In exceptional circumstances an applicant may be accepted at the discretion of the Academic Committee.
