What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the health sector with enrolled nurses who provide nursing care under the direction and delegation of a registered nurse or other registered health practitioner in a range of settings including acute care, rehabilitation, and mental health in the community and/or in hospitals.
This qualification is designed for school leavers, and people already employed, or intending to be employed in the health sector.
This qualification meets the Nursing Council of New Zealand requirements for application for registration in the enrolled nurse scope of practice.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
The programme is open to both domestic and international applicants who are 18 years or older on commencing the programme. Domestic applicants: Applicants must have completed a minimum of the following: NCEA Level 2 including 80 credits of the following: 12 credits in Level 1 Mathematics 10 credits in level 1 English, 58 credits at level 2 or above in English, Mathematics, a science related subject, and one other of choice. International applicants must provide proof of achieving an educational standard equivalent to or higher than NCEA Level 2, taught in English. This includes: * Passes in Mathematics (e.g., Level 10 of an Indian Education Board) * English language skills equivalent to Academic IELTS 6.5 (with all band scores 6.5 or higher), or equivalent, from one test within two years preceding the start date of the programme.
