What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the glass processing industry with commercially competent glass processors who are able to operate unsupervised to the technical, safety, quality and productivity standards of the glass processing industry.
This qualification is for those intending to work as glass processors, and provides recognition of the skills and knowledge of individuals currently working as glass processors in the glass processing industry.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to manufacture a range of glass products for use in residential and commercial applications.
The graduate may complete one or more optional strands to specialise their glass processing capabilities and extend their employment options and career pathway.
Three optional strands in this qualification include: screen printed glass, laminated glass and the operation of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery.
