Entry requirements
General Admission: To be admitted to this programme all applicants must be at least 16 years of age on the date of the programme's commencement for the semester in which they wish to enrol, and meet the following requirements:Applicants must: *Have a bachelor's degree (or level 7 Graduate Diploma) in the same or similar disciplinewith a B-Average or above and provide documentary evidence of outcomes in the discipline work environment to demonstrate an ability to perform in the programme and commit to achieving its outcomes;or*Have Ssuccessfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Practice(Social Practice) or the Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Practice (Social Practice) with a B-achievement in CISC80202, AND ,a B-minimum GPA across allother courses.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
Through transdisciplinary engagement across social work, community development, and counselling, graduates contribute to organisations. Graduates applied research projects engage with, employers, industries, cultures, and communities to identify, define, and contextualise important issues requiring critical attention to enhance social justice and challenge structural inequality. There is a strong focus in the programme on Māori and other indigenous practice. Graduates plan, execute, complete, and disseminate practice-relevant research projects which provide solutions and innovations that influence social practice.
