- Learners may enter this qualification either by: NCEA Level 3 (minimum 42 credits at level 3)
- New Zealand Certificate in Conservation (Operations) (Level 4) [Ref: 2963]
Hold a current Outdoor First Aid certificate.

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the environmental management sector with individuals who have the skills and knowledge to work independently within marine, terrestrial and conservation operations.

This qualification is designed for people with prior experience in marine, terrestrial and conservation operations.
