What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the commercial road transport industry with people who have entry-level skills to undertake vehicle loading and/or yard person duties, including basic driving tasks as directed.
This qualification is suitable for learners such as school leavers, or people who have little or no prior learning or experience in commercial road transport and who wish to commence a career in this area. Learners will benefit by having a qualification that enables improved job performance and enhanced employment opportunities in the field of commercial road transport.
This qualification does not permit the holder to drive a motor vehicle on New Zealand roads without a current relevant driver licence issued by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
