What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with competent and credible journalists who have the skills, knowledge and attributes to produce and publish news stories for a range of media environments (eg. print, radio, television and digital sites with news content).
Graduates will be able to work as entry-level journalists, working both collaboratively and independently with supervision.
Graduates will have the attributes necessary to strengthen the democratic wellbeing of all communities in Aotearoa New Zealand.
