What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification will provide the sport and recreation sector with individuals who have the essential skills and professional industry knowledge to operate safely, while working under supervision, in a wide range of service or operational roles within the sport, exercise and leisure industry.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Required to be New Zealand residents or citizens, have achieved a minimum secondary school standard of Level 2 NCEA or equivalent, and be 18 years of age or older. Students 17 years of age will be accepted only if signed parental approval has been received. All applicants for the programme are required to attend an interview and be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. For all students, including those for whom English is not their first language, a minimum of Level 2 Literacy - (TEC Assessment) is required.
