What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is designed to provide the beauty sector with skin care and makeup technicians who have the foundation skills and knowledge to provide a range of makeup and skin care services.
This qualification is intended for learners who will benefit by having a qualification which provides makeup and skin care competencies, skills and knowledge.
The beauty sector will benefit by having people with the skills and knowledge to competently undertake a range of makeup and skin care services within a variety of workplaces.
Graduates will be capable of working with limited supervision in a makeup and skin care context.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Must be 16 years of age, have completed three years of high school or completed NCEA Level 1 or equivalent.Must have English language competence to undertake this programme. Any applicant whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of an overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 5.0 (with no score below 5.5) or equivalent. Must be able to demonstrate they have the attitude and ability to work and study. Must be physically capable of completing the physcial aspects of the programme. Must participate in an interview
