The purpose of this qualification is to provide organisations with people who have the knowledge and skills to manage information as evidence and as an asset.

The qualification provides a pathway for people intending to enter or advance in the information management profession.

Graduates will manage a wide range of information assets and operate ethically and in line with industry standards and legislation.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the start of the programme and have either New Zealand University Entrance; or passes in New Zealand Certificate or Diploma qualifications considered appropriate by the Programme Leader; or equivalent Applicants who have attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the minimum entry requirements will be eligible to be enrolled where their previous educational work or life experience indicates they have a reasonable likelihood of success. If English is not the applicants first language, the applicant will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5; or equivalent.
