The New Zealand Certificate in Reticulated Gas Pipelines (Level 3) [Ref: 3591] or equivalent skills and competency is a prerequisite to enrolment in programmes leading to this qualification.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the reticulated gas pipeline industry with technicians who have the skills and knowledge to supervise a worksite and construct, maintain and decommission gas infrastructure.
The qualification is stranded to recognise the skills required to specialise in, metering and pressure control, polyethylene pipelines or steel pipelines.
Graduates of the optional strand in gas incident response will also have the knowledge and skills to respond to and control gas incidents.
