What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the construction diving sector with graduates able to work in onshore construction diving roles.
Graduates will have gained sufficient skills and knowledge to be eligible to apply for the New Zealand Certificates of Competency Part 1 and Part 2: Construction diving: Scuba and SSBA to 30 metres including underwater tools and equipment, to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and the requirements of AS/NZS 2815 and 2299.
Graduates will be able work autonomously in a dive team under broad guidance and take some responsibility for the performance of others.
