Entry requirements
International applicants must have:
* Bachelor or higher IT degree; and
* NZQF Programme Approval and Accreditation Rules 2013 (Appendix 2) i.e. an IELTS Academic score of 6, with
no band score lower than 5.5; or the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Academic) (Level 4) [Ref:
1883].
Domestic applicants must have:
* Bachelor or higher IT degree; and/or
* Subject to the regulations of the award, those who have been able to demonstrate equivalent practical,
professional or educational experience in an IT related field may be granted admission
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of this programme is to equip learners with specialist and advanced software testing practices and technical
skills in the IT industry. The programme will provide learners with advanced knowledge involving complex scenarios for
test planning, test estimation, test designing, test execution, test scripting, performance testing, test governance and test
management across software development life cycle over various platforms.
The programme is suitable for learners who have a previous qualification, knowledge or experience in the IT sector and
would want to become a specialised professional in software testing. This programme will provide opportunities for career
progression for IT degree graduates and/ or other graduates with experience in the IT sector to pursue a significant body
of study specializing in software testing at an advanced undergraduate level.
This programme will provide learners with continued professional development and specific focus on specialist skills
needed to excel in the software testing environment. This programme provides an up-to-date theoretical and applied
knowledge to broaden student's expertise by acquiring specialist software application testing knowledge which
complements their current experience and/ or qualifications.
Graduates will be capable of operating within applicable professional standards and practice, both independently and as
part of a team.
