What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide competent employees for the meat processing sector, who are able to work as animal product examiners in a pet food, poultry, or rabbit processing operation, carrying out basic ante-mortem or post-mortem examinations.
The programme is stranded to reflect the specialist requirements of poultry, rabbit, and petfood post-mortem and anti-mortem procedures.
The meat processing sector will benefit by having a qualification that establishes standards of competent performance in animal product examination that can provide domestic and international markets with confidence in a quality range of pet food or poultry products.
Graduates will be capable of working under supervision with responsibility for their work outcomes.
