What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide competent employees for the meat processing sector who are able to work as Animal Product Examiners (Meat Inspectors), in a meat processing operation, on stock or post-mortem examinations, on meat products used for human consumption, and ante-mortem examinations on stock.

This qualification will ensure the establishment of standards of competent performance in ante-mortem examinations of stock or post-mortem examinations of animal products that can provide domestic and international markets with confidence in a quality range of meat products.

People will be capable of working in a self-managed capacity.
