Entry requirements

Candidates are expected to be employed in the cranes industry.

The New Zealand Certificate in Cranes (Level 4) with strands in Advanced Dogman, Crawler Crane, Mini Crane, Mobile Crane, Non-Slewing Articulated Crane, Tower Crane [Ref: 3731] is a prerequisite for entry.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the crane industry with individuals who can be employed in a range of advanced and complex crane operations.
The crane industry, and the building and construction industry in particular, will benefit from having qualified people capable of planning, managing, and supervising complex crane and lifting operations, and operating the crane in such operations.
Graduates will be capable of working in a self-managed capacity and will be supervising others.
