About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification provides graduates with a comprehensive, bicultural overview to sustainable living practice. It will benefit Māori by investigating global and local ecological issues informed by traditional Māori values and contemporary problem-solving methods.

Graduates of this qualification will be environmental problem solvers, who can apply their skills to practical situations to enhance their own personal well-being and that of their whānau, hapu, iwi, work and social organisations.

Minimum requirements

- 16 years of age or older - completed a level 3 programme of at least 60 credits OR - 12 credits in NCEA L2 literacy standards and - 12 credits in NCEA L2 numeracy OR - demonstrated equivalency in numeracy and literacy
