Entry requirements

Ākonga must be employed in a role that involves the operation of an unattended small steam or hot water boiler.
Entry is subject to the discretion of the TEO representative, who coordinates enrolments, based on discussion with the learner and their employer. This discussion considers the learner's intended skills pathway and the likelihood of success, including access to support and relevant resources.
Entry includes the completion of a training agreement signed by the ākonga, employer, and a TEO representative.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide industry and ākonga with a short coherent package of training that comprises of the skills and knowledge required to safely supervise the operation of an unattended boiler.
