What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the wastewater treatment industry with individuals who have the skills and knowledge to be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a wastewater treatment plant.

The qualification is stranded to recognise the specialist skills required to work in wastewater treatment plants, or wastewater treatment plants with multistage processes.

The trainee will benefit from having a qualification within a training pathway that recognises the range of processes and technologies in wastewater treatment plants, progression through the water industry, as well as increased skills and knowledge acquisition to improve job performance.

The water industry, and the wider community, will benefit from having qualified operators of wastewater treatment plants who are able to maintain compliance with all aspects of relevant legislation.
