About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro-credential will introduce learners to IT foundations and AWS Cloud Fundamentals. Through real-world, scenario-based exercises, labs, and coursework, learners will build skills with Linux, Python, Networking, Security, and Databases. Learners will develop professional skills, including effective communication and collaboration to prepare them for industry-based projects. Successful participants will be able to sit an external exam in order to obtain a Cloud Practitioner Certificate issued by AWS, may secure an entry-level job placement in an IT company, or APL experience towards other qualifications in IT.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

All applicants must have general IT technical knowledge. Evidence must be presented of achievement in computing subjects in NCEA Level 2 or above; or demonstrated capability through work experience; or equivalent. They must also have a minimum of 8 credits at NCEA Level 2 in English (4 in Reading, 4 in Writing); or equivalent. Go to for details.
