Entry requirements
Learners will be eligible to enter this micro-credential if they:
- Are at least 16 years old, and
- Have achieved NCEA Level 2 or hold equivalent knowledge
- Have demonstrated basic computer skills and an interest in computer networking as determined
via an online enrolment process
Students with English as a second language require IELTS 5.5 (General or Academic) with no band lower
than 5.0.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of this micro-credential is to provide foundation knowledge of computer networking and cyber
security and to develop foundational skills to simulate, create, monitor, and maintain a small network while
evaluating and incorporating cyber security practices and procedures.
