Entry into this micro-credential requires: - NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent) - employment in a school laboratory role, and - demonstration of understanding of the micro-credential, and general suitability for the study through Real World Education's pre-entry process.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This micro-credential will prepare people to make typical solutions for school laboratories including required calculations and practical aspects. The emphasis will be on the sorts of units of concentration typically used in schools. This will
include the calculation and practical skills to prepare solutions using dilution. Participants will learn about labelling. Participants will also learn a range of approaches depending on the level of care appropriate for various school needs; this ranges from estimating volume using buckets to use of analytical glassware. Participants will learn related terminology and concepts.
