Entry requirements

Domestic learners
Learners must be 16 years old.

International learners
Learners must possess a valid visa and have suitable travel and medical insurance
Before being assigned to a class, every learner will undergo an English proficiency test to
confirm they are placed at the appropriate level for their learning needs.

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro-credential aims to enhance pre-intermediate English skills, emphasizing listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It aligns with the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The micro-credential equips learners with a deeper understanding of the English language, delving into topics such as family history, health and fitness, emotions, and more. Utilising a published coursebook and other materials, learners will explore various linguistic structures, including the present perfect tense, comparatives, superlatives, and passive voice. They will be guided to effectively engage in conversations on familiar topics, read factual texts and listen to factual recordings, and write simple, connected texts.
