Entry requirements
Learners will apply for a place on the course through the MAST Academy office. Learner entry requirements for admission to this micro-credential include:
* Applicant must be employed in the boatbuilding industry
* Minimum of 16 years of age
* Attained NCEA Level 2, or equivalent, or literacy and numeracy credits
* Minimum 16 years of age
* Must be New Zealand citizen or resident or Australian Citizen or permanent resident, of Citizen of Niue, Cook Islands, or Samoa.
Where learners may have NCEA Level 1 their MAST Academy adviser is able to complete a 'Support of Applicant' enrolment application which provides evidence that the adviser has met with the learner and obtained evidence to demonstrate that the learner will be able to manage the course work.
English language requirements:
Applicant whose first language is not English, required to provide any of the following:
* evidence of successful completion of at least five years of secondary education from a country where the student was taught using English as medium of instruction
* successful completion of vocational certificate or diploma, of which the medium of
instruction taught in English.
* IELTS at least 5.0 overall score or equivalent
