Entry requirements
Students will demonstrate commitment to study and have an interest in the construction industry and/or environmental management.
Also, students must show capability to be supported to successfully complete the course, this may require one or more of the following:
* Interview
* Capability assessment/s (including literacy/numeracy and communication)
* Referee check (where relevant)
The course has approx. 40 hours of simulated/workplace activities and assessment must be completed in a simulated/workplace; therefore, the student must be able to commit to the practical course load prior to admission.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential Resource Sorter - Construction is to equip Resources Sorters on construction sites with the skills to process waste efficiently by diverting it from landfill.
These skills can also be used for waste sorting at home. Efficient waste sorting will help neighbourhoods, communities, and cities.
We want to protect our environment, our families and the next generation to come, protect our resources and at the same time support our councils zero waste goal by 2040.
