About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of the Thinning to Waste Micro-Credential (Level 3) is to provide industry relevant targeted training to tauira transitioning, or employers intending to progress their employees, into further forestry employment opportunities. This is specifically in relation to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences required of thinning to waste employment.
In addition, the noho-based model delivered once per month for 9 months (i.e. 9 three-day noho), can provide the flexibility for those already employed, meaning tauira will not need to 'give up their day job' in order to increase their employability knowledge and skills while meeting the learning requirements of the micro-credential.
