Applicants must have completed the following or equivalent: the Bachelor of Education [Specialty] Teaching or the Graduate Diploma in Teaching with a B grade average or higher in papers at level 7 or equivalent.

MEd graduates will have a broad range of research skills for application to their area of education. They will have sound analytical and critical thinking skills and be able to develop, apply and test advanced theoretical concepts in education. They will have presented the results by way of a dissertation or thesis. They may progress to further study at doctoral level.
