An applicant must have completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) or relevant professional practice or experience in a related health field equivalent to a bachelor's degree. Evidence of current professional practice is required.

The emphasis placed on integrating theory and practice will enhance their problem solving and analytical skills. Graduates will have advanced knowledge within a specialist field. They will have developed skills in critical thinking, problem solving and communication and be prepared for further postgraduate study. In addition, PgDipRNPres graduates will meet the preparatory education requirements for registered nurse medicine prescriptive authority.
