Entry requirements

Completed the requirements for a Bachelors Honours degree, Masters degree or postgraduate diploma in a relevant subject with a minimum GPA, or completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and have the research experience, ability, and disciplinary training to undertake doctoral level research.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

DHSc graduates will be provided with advanced academic preparation for service leadership and academic roles. They will enhance their skills to lead health service delivery to meet diverse health needs of the population prioritising Maori and Pacific within an inter-disciplinary context across acute and primary / community care settings. They will demonstrate an advanced, flexible and analytical approach to generate, critique and utilise knowledge, and contribute to the evidence base of health care practice and delivery through world leading and innovative research.
