About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The GCertProfAcc allows degree graduates to pursue a further body of study at an advanced undergraduate level. The GCertProfAcc aims to prepare graduates who can:
use accounting knowledge at an advanced level with an appreciation of current issues and debates in the field of accounting
meet the academic requirements for admission to a professional accounting body
carry out accounting work in accordance with relevant technical and professional standards
critically analyse and solve financial problems with a view to the wider implications for business
The programme aim for the GCertProfAcc is distinct from the aim of the GDipProfAcc in that the GDipProfAcc covers a more significant body of knowledge, and students have greater flexibility to develop additional skills and knowledge with the elective structure.
