What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have advanced knowledge and understanding of current research in linguistics. They will have the skills necessary to understand how linguistic systems operate and to approach the connections between a language system and its social context. They will have carried out a substantial piece of independent research so they will have expertise in the formulation of research questions, data collection, statistical analysis and hypothesis testing. Graduates will also be excellent communicators having been trained to produce cogent and well-structured research reports.
