Graduates will be able to demonstrate and apply advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a field of engineering and develop practical solutions to engineering problems to the level required for professional membership of the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand. and find employment as professional engineers able to engage confidently in an Aotearoa New Zealand/Te Tiriti context, or further specialised postgraduate study. They will be able to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional and technical context with their colleagues and clients. * Be able to question and challenge, communicate, analyse, research and intelligently understand society. The breadth of the degree provides an ideal skills and knowledge base for a wide range of employment and career options or for a range of specialised postgraduate options.
