What can I expect out of this qualification?
To enable students to develop advanced knowledge & skills in health science related to their individual disciplines & scope of practice through intensive academic study, including advanced independent work, advanced practice, and research.
Key Information for Students
Academic Requirements An undergraduate degree in a health science/health discipline with a B average or better. Alternative Requirements If you do not meet the entry criteria above, the applicant may be provisionally admitted to, and upon successful completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences, gain admission to the Master of Nursing. Successful completion is normally considered to be a B average in these courses. Additional Requirements Interview Applicants who meet academic entry criteria may be required to attend an interview. Applicants must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate. English Requirements If English is not your first language you may also be required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below. If you have no evidence of your English language skills and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, contact us for an assessment. IELTS 6.5 Academic (with no band score lower than 6.5). For acceptable alternatives refer to the English Proficiency Outcomes Chart.
