Holders will demonstrate a critical awareness of theory, research and pedagogy that contribute to understanding the generic skills and principles for the wide range of contexts and learners typical of the field, as well as the ability to select from and apply these in identifying and meeting specific needs of English as an Additional Language learners within the candidate's own professional context.

A Bachelors degree or diploma, or equivalent; or at least two years of relevant practical, professional or scholarly experience; plus access to learners of English as an additional language within a formal educational setting.
