Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

A minimum of 40 credits at NCEA level 2 over four of the subjects recognized by EIT (approved subject list, appendix - 3) as suitable for entry into this Diploma. The successful completion of the EIT Certificate in Horticulture, or equivalent one year Certificate programme at level 3 or above. Or Over 20 years of age, with evidence of an ability to undertake tertiary study at Diploma level. In addition, students are required to have attained an acceptable level (IELTS 6.0 Academic or equivalent) of English language fluency. This may be demonstrated in a variety of ways, including successful study in English, approved scores on TOEFL and IELTS tests or completion of accepted international equivalents, or completion of an EIT Hawke's Bay assessment
