What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the surveying profession with trained people who are able to undertake field and office work associated with land surveying in a professional manner.

This qualification is designed for people intending to work in the surveying profession as land surveyors or surveying technicians under the supervision of a professional surveyor.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

NCEA Level 2 with the following requirements: 48 NCEA L2 credits in four subjects, including a minimum of 12 credits in mathematics (preferably in algebra, geometry and trigonometry) or the equivalent. Domestic applicants aged 20 yrs or above who do not meet the academic entry requirement but whose skills, education or work experience indicate that they have a reasonable change of success, may be eligible for special admission. IELTS academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5 or completed NZ Certificate in English Language L4 with the academic endorsement.
