The specific aims of these programmes are: 1. To prepare students for life-long learning, with the desire to constantly update their knowledge and skills within a changing work environment. 4. To promote a wider understanding and appreciation of information technology. Graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology who complete the networking strand will analyse information systems including feasibility for installation, use project management software to manage information systems, develop information systems and configure and trouble shoot information networks. Graduates will also manage internet sites and associated software. Graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology majoring in web development will develop, implement and manage web applications for organisations and businesses.
