A bachelors degree from a New Zealand tertiary education institution, or equivalent, in geophysics, mathematics, physics or other appropriate subject.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will possess the advanced theoretical and technical competencies of a professional meteorologist, as recommended by the World Meteorological Organisation. Graduates will demonstrate intellectual autonomy, critical thinking and scientific rigour; excellent communication and collaborative skills; and a range of technical, communication and analytical skills. Some graduates may be able to continue to doctoral studies in meteorology or atmospheric science. Graduates will be qualified to work in the meteorological services industry or related industries.
