What can I expect out of this qualification?
The Graduate Diploma in Teaching (GradDipTchg) prepares graduates to be capable, independent and ethical beginning teachers in either the early childhood, primary or secondary sectors. The programmes prepare them to understand the principles and structure of Te Whariki and/or the New Zealand Curriculum and have a knowledge base relevant to the sector and subjects where they will teach, and the skills to adapt to an ever-evolving educational climate. The GradDipTchg enables graduates to be certificated as a teacher in New Zealand through the Teaching Council Aotearoa New Zealand.
