What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates will demonstrate a depth and breadth of knowledge and skills: ability to integrate theoretical knowledge and applied practice; work effectively with athletes, coaches and scientists to achieve desired outcomes in their specialist areas; specialist knowledge and technical, analytical and problem solving skills required to develop and perform research in sport and exercise science and related fields; critical thinking, reflective learning, research and practical skills appropriate to further study. Ability to perform as an effective professional practitioner/consultant within the sport, exercise and recreation industry. Graduates may also exit with the Graduate Certificate in Sport and Exercise Science (Level 7) after completing the required modules within the programme. Depending on electives selected, graduates may gain employment opportunities as self-employed or employed consultants and advisors in their specialist field (rehabilitation, personal training, coaching, or sports science). Graduates may also pursue employment opportunities in sport, fitness and recreation organisations, including gymnasia, recreation centres, sport trusts, educational institutions, and sport medicine and physiotherapy clinics as managers, coaches, consultants, performers, lecturers, trainers and therapists.
