Our new posters match your NCEA subjects to future mahi

Young Māori performing kapa haka

Match your school subjects to your future mahi with our new resource.

Want to explore your future job options based on your NCEA subjects?

The Ministry of Education has helped us refresh our Ki hea rā? Where to? posters. The posters are in te reo Māori and English and list possible jobs for each NCEA subject. You can search through them to find ideas for your future based on what you're learning at school.

You might be interested in jobs that need subjects you're not studying at school, so this could be your chance to change your NCEA subjects.

All job ideas are listed under the qualification needed to get into the job. So you'll know when you leave school whether you need to do a certificate (including apprenticeship), diploma or degree for your ideal mahi.

New Te Ao Haka subject

Included in the posters are job ideas for the new NCEA subject Te Ao Haka. This subject combines kapa haka with dance, drama and music and is being tested in schools now.

Te Ao Haka can set you up for a variety of jobs including Kaiwhakahaere Tauwhāinga Event Manager and Kaitohu Toa (Kiriata, Pouaka Whakaata, Irirangi, Whakaari rānei) Art Director (Film, Television, Radio or Stage).
